The Loneliness

I lie here in the heat of night
Wishing you were here
Holding me within your arms
While erasing all the fears

I get up in the mornings
With no one even there
I come home late at night
There's no one there to care

The loneliness is awful
Sometimes too much to bear
I lie there in that bed at night
And all I do is stare

Oh, the loneliness. How well you have expressed those feelings.

May a kind man come into your life who will provide the love and companionship you so richly deserve.
