Just Who Am I


I can't help but wonder
Just who am I
The name I had known
Wasn't really mine

Secrets were kept
For such a long time
Then, I had wondered
Just who am I

A name I thought
Was truly mine
It seemed to me
Turned out to be a lie

The answer wasn't there
I just didn't know
Lost in a world, it seemed
Where I didn't belong

Everyone, it seemed
Had someone to love
It seemed their life wasn't
Anywhere near as tough

Surely there is someone
Out there for me
Who will give me a name
That will be mine to keep

A heartfelt write, Sue, but maybe give yourself a name to keep.  What about "I am Love"?  I think that's pretty much a universal name but it only really applies when we believe it.  Just a penny's worth.

I understand how you feel about wanting the love, but the name you were born with, that is who you are. Start with the love of self, the rest will follow.
