As The Sun Goes Down

As the sun goes down
I think of you
And, all those things
We use to do

Promises were made
Together you and I
Would always be
Until the end of time

Oh, how I miss those days
When things were good
The times when with you
I knew just where I stood

Sometimes, it feels as if
All these lonely days
Will surely kill me
It seems they're here to stay

I force myself to get out of bed
Just to face another lonely day
Pushing myself to continue
Hoping, loneliness goes away

Once again, I tell myself
Tomorrow is a brand new day
Never give in to defeat for
Something new may come my way

There's a lot of strength in this,
and especially when you know you CAN
stand on your own!

Well done, Sue.

Sue , I often feel this way , but we have to keep positive , knowing tomorrow is a brand new day , I wrote this below in a previous poem

Around every corner
Hopeful I shall always be
As a new day opens
With the future yet to see

Hugs Hope

this 'write' is a fine dusting of that 'eternally wellspring of hope' message
... sprinkled on all of us who might need it this very day!

applause!!

OhSweetSue~
The times of remembering the 'when' of it all leaves such a poignant penning~

Tomorrow ... and tomorrow and tomorrow ... there arises new hope~
