Count Me In I’ve no passion for the spotlight, it’s not wealth that I desire, But the game is on so why not dip my feet into the fire. For I won’t burn I might face ridicule - but everyone gets that, And so I’d rather be out on the field and give myself a chance. And if I lose so what - that happens, I can always try again I can lose a hundred-thousand times but if just once I win – Then I’m a champion a hero true a man who risked it all So count me in I think its winning time and I’m ready for the ball. |

Thanks all for giving me a read. I'm new to this site but truly loving the experience. I've been a "lone" poet for some time and the ability to share my poems and be enriched by the poems I read here is wonderful. Pleasure to meet you too! |
