Revelations Believe me, I know I was never perfect, I wasn't the one who you wanted to see, I tried being an angel, but got my wings broken, I tried being everything... but I am - just me. I couldn't incur all your sorrows or fears, Tried being a shield, only was not so strong, But mine was each wound of your heart, every tear, And I have been here with you for so long. You have my devotion, my love and my faith You know my each step, all my falls and mistakes. You're my inner voice and the hope inside, Each word on the last open page of my life. No angel, no shield... it has all been a lie. I tried being everything, really tried. Then - tried to forget, just to find a new way That led me to lies at the end of the day. So let me stay... Here, with you... |
