So, as I'm sitting here, browing for something to tell you how I feel, it occurs to me that I am browsing through words not of my own. How can anyone else possibly know or say how it is that I am feeling? Someone Else's definitions of love and trust and happiness and hope... Definitions that aren't mine. Close, maybe, but not perfect. Then again, can I even begin to verbalize what is going on inside my head and heart and soul? Not to the extent that you deserve. Is it even possible to formulate concrete thoughts or ideas around emotions that are ever-changing? Ever-evolving? Defining something as abstract as love or trust or happiness or hope Is only an exercise in futility. A million pretty passages of a trillion pretty words cannot even begin to convey the depth of it. The only way to understand is to experience it, as I experience it now. I know not how to describe love except in terms of you. I know not how to verbalize trust except in terms of you. I cannot define happiness or depict hope except in terms of you. I find that all the pretty words have escaped me, and everything I think and feel and dream can be summed up quite succinctly in one simple word - you |

Welcome, Elizabeth, to our little corner of the universe. This is a poem that I wish I could have written myself. Please, make yourself and home, and by the way... check your email for a Very Special Greeting! " It matters not this distance now " Excerpt, Yesterday's Love |
