Take comfort where you find it. Steel yourself, and don’t let any man steal comfort from you. Ear plugs can be useful tools to drown Out drones and dolts. You can’t out shout them Anyway. At days end, find the strength to say “I am the way I am because I am this way.” |

I work nights so I sleep in the day...I have found earplugs to be quite useful to me |

I like the way you put the 'Anyway' on the next line to lead it off. That makes it stronger, and emphasizes it. I like the whole poem, the way it stands there and is itself. Nicely done. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |
