 Artist: Donald Schmit I Will ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ As river flows to endless sea, ~ I will follow you. As high as carefree eagles fly, ~ I will soar with you. As ocean tides roll in and out, ~ I will ebb ‘n flow with you. As close as white on grains of rice, ~ I will bond with you. As bright as beaming solar rays, ~ I will shine for you. As fresh as daisies in a field, ~ I will be pure for you. As loyal as a turtledove, ~ I will be true to you. As soft as warm duckling down, ~ I will cozy up with you. As colorful as rainbow light, ~ I will glow for you. As piquant as a Cajun spice, ~ I will make love with you. As birdsong of the early morn, ~ I will sing for you. As sweet as summer berry wine, ~ I will kiss the lips of you. As strong as the mightiest oak, ~ I will grow with you. As playful as a river otter, ~ I will cavort with you. As gentle as a newborn lamb, ~ I will be kind to you. As our nation’s flag does fly, ~ I will honor you. As delicate as a feather’s touch, ~ I will caress the all of you. As enduring as the rock of ages, ~ I will remain with you. As salt is to the ocean’s water, ~ I will be a part of you. ~*~ Together and forever ~ It will be me and you. (smiles) Awwwwwwww, I absolutely love this, dearest friend, I absolutely believe love is the universal language, as it can be not only seen or heard, but felt, among all the little wonders and blessings of our natural world, from the daisies in a field to, yes, even the cayenne in a Cajun spice, LOL, and that is just one of the greatest beauties of poetry; to cross-pollinate the world with the love that blossoms in all of the world's natural bounty, yay!
