Our Minds Closet

in the dark of the night

when we are alone

with no one else in sight

no worries but our own
we look inside ourselves

things that we put away

hid on our minds shelves

is where our worries lay
the worry of our health

and loved ones that we know

we never will have wealth

but family can bring woe
loss of many dear ones

was just too much to bear

pain put here by the tons

look only if you dare
little hurts are there too

snotty and rude remarks

some are lies told to you

nasty words causing sparks
these can all be looked at

and put right back away

for true love changed all that

now hope is here to stay
