I've been trying to sleep for hours now
but I toss and turn and roll around,
pills nor drink, neither are the way,
not a road to where peace is found.

So I pick up my Bible and read a bit,
I pray God shows me the right direction
because nothing is right for me here
just standing still in my own reflection.

I need to love someone.
I need someone to love me.
I need to make a difference
that people can truly see.

I need to bust out of the mold
that I've created over time,
life is only worth living if
you can leave old things behind.

Night shift...well...
leaves a little to be desired
but when the mornings come
I seem to be inspired!

Just know..this is just for you...
you will always be a friend.

Smiling at you...

and knowing you'll know
when you know.

and yes, do the usual.

Dixie...Wonderful poem. I've often layed in bed and read the bible when I couldn't sleep and within 10 minutes I would fall asleep.
There is someone waiting to find you, just as you are waiting to find them. It will happen...Paul

Lots of good introspection here, Dixie. I've been doing a bit of that myself. Moving on is a very good thing. Nicely captured.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Beautiful flow of thoughts...we still have choices even when it seems as if we have none...when we have few choices the choices can be easier...
I'm on night shift and I love it...get off at eleven p.m. and usually don't go to sleep until midnight or one in the morning...
I suppose I'm a night person...James
