To Love Is To Nurture and Grow "Father, pulling weeds seems to be an endless task"... a son to his father. "One weed gone, one grain of rice for us"... Korean rice farmer to his son... Once you start to love a woman and she begins to love you in return, all the tea in China will not relieve you of your responsibility to tend to love and to give it all the nurturing and the care that it needs to grow. Thank you aziza and passing shadows... I wrote this after watching a movie called "The Waitress" in which the waitress was married to a controlling, manipulating, possessive; emotionally, mentally and physically abusive husband. As she grew weary in her unhappiness she started to see the truth, to have some hope, and with some help from her friends, was able to create a new world for herself, sans the abusive husband...and so I started to consider the responsibility of men...which in marriage is to love your wife...to set the example...and that doesn't magically happen the day you get married...to know how to love you have to learn how to love in day to day relationships...James |
