These Things

Blessed be things too fair to see,
Too modest to give light,
These things that sleep inside my joy,
Prerequisite for such,
These things I know not that I miss,
Until of course, they’re gone.
These things I trust and hope will linger still,
In void of memory, in valid quill,

"A witty saying prooves nothing" (Voltare)

Could almost feel the sheer essence of starlight in this.  Nicely written.

A poignant reminder to us all. Your words gave me pause to appreciate all the blessings in my life ~ both great and small. Thank you!

P.S. That is one mighty fine face you have! It goes well with the body in your last pic!
