Not your husband; not to blame for your love, but just the same. Forgive me for this simple hug, this simple kiss. You simply tug the deepest strings of my heart. And these things which you start, with wicked grin, burning eyes, are not sins which I despise! Not my wife; I cannot blame you for this life which we frame; weekend hours, stolen lunches, all the phone text sexy hunches which we both adore – my fault. I cannot stop. I will not halt this hot desire for your heart; You are the fire to my art. Not together; no one to blame for the choices we have to claim in silent voices. What is Love? And therein lies the reason why women should not marry! I did like your passion, your honest assessment of filling in the need for lost desire. Correct me please if I misinterpet. SG |

Indeed this one of many reasons I have no desire to marry. For some marriage is all consuming in the most beautiful of ways. For others they are chains which trap our freedoms until we are forced to steal moments that should belong to another. I enjoyed the movement within your poem. "The only way to learn to fly is to spread your wings and jump." |
