In our garden
Are spiky zinnias

That no one likes
Or cares to know

Except some
In town for whom
There's nothing else
To do

Despite
The gaudy petals
They can not hide
A certain ugliness
In their style

Like dolls
Which think
But just enough

That their looks
Will get them by


.

this is very strange poem from you, sir.
by what way or which way  the poet Jane Kenyon
inspired? or I misunderstood at all.

the poem is a poem but the tune is spiky
pitched, if I may say.
