I only thought I was doing the right thing by you perhaps I overfilled you with love and ended up hurting you instead. For that I'm sorry and punishment is mine, as I carry this burden, a multitude of words, thoughts and promises thatleads you to my sins. My love was not enough and as I stare into the darkness all I see is my fate the truth that I can never put things right, and that guilt is here to stay. |

so interesting. another different style. But a good poem and it has profound meaning here. In every relationship(love, and friendship), one really shall think and rethink that the feeling is true or not. One can never lie to oneself. one shall move on without quilt because one did not lie. enjoyed |

fine, very 'real', emotive write! [a slice of that 'everyperson-life dejavu'... I believe we ALL feel like what this poem expresses (perhaps all-too-often) in our lives...particularly with respect to the following]: "the truth that I can never put things right, and that guilt is here to stay." serious applause!! |
