the “ Black Wolf ” (depression)

~

cruel dawn!

morning without purpose

drowsy afternoon

‘coffee-cup’ confessions

day ends

‘clock-work’ souls escape

cloud-ravaged sunset

faces dissolve

darkness pools

hills shiver

evening’s lovely sadness

“Black Wolf” calls

tyrannical despair

petrified dreams

cruel dawn!

yes, you are quite right. It is typical...and nice in a poem to blackly romanticize it.

... interesting too, how you attenuate the poem with spaces between the lines, conveying the time-suspense aspect of some depressions...
