Love’s “Vanishing Point” While the clock hides its face behind impotent hands... over far too many ‘missing truths’ of past and future time, I shall forsake this evening of lamplight and raging absurdity, for a walk in the hope of certainty with a fine forest-silhouette moon to seek what dreams the night wind shapes, (under most 'indifferent' stars) and the deepest feelings that rise in silence. My soul is quickened by solitude’s serenity; yet, my ‘voice’ and heart seem eternally lost (in fading memories) to these broken mountains receding forever... beyond love’s “vanishing point”! |

very beautiful. A sad song was sung at night so it made the sadness darker. But a nice thing is the soul is still there. again beautiful as always. |

Sadness flows from the vanishing of love and created a vision for me of phantom love disappearing as the sun came over the horizon...the vision left me feeling the regret in your words...Well written...*Big Hugs* |

Interesting and well written. Some would counter that "love has no vanishing point" even when it remains only in a glowing ember of a warm memory. Yes, thought provoking... thank you for sharing. MoonShadow . |

Strong, contemplative write, greatly enjoyed ... carried around with me like a treasure. Especially: "for a walk in the hope of certainty with a fine forest-silhouette moon to seek what dreams the night wind shapes," Uncommonly moving - "and the deepest feelings that rise in silence. My soul is quickened by solitude’s serenity; yet, my ‘voice’ and heart seem eternally lost (in fading memories)" |

Beautiful, very touching! J. M. Barrie, the playwright, may have said it best when he wrote, “God gave us memories so that we might have roses in December.” |

Bruce~ See ... it's like this ... sometimes you make me read several times to find the creative thought that speaks to me ... I found it - 'to seek what dreams the night wind shapes' ... thanks for letting me dig in your poetic sandbox~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |
