the sun shines in the west window
the kitchen faucet drips
to the east I see the crossroads
I feel my heart as it slips

I can't help but to think
it's time for me to go
tired of this lonely house
and the way I've come to know

sun at my back
clock tick-tocking
stare fades into dusk
feet feel like walking

not really tied down, but stuck
another day goes by-
but thinking of you helps me on
till I can finally say goodbye.

I consider this quite excellent
(and powerful) 'Realism'...
and, boy can I relate to
the thoughts and feelings
contained in this fine 'write'!

MUCH applause!!
