                 Afterlife?!

On nights such as this...
I am deeply troubled by the wind
and what secret epiphanies
   the darkness may hold,
as I hang on the cusp of chaos
between time’s eternal chasm
and love’s unending abyss,
in a world I now face as a ‘stranger’...
   dissolving like the mist;
I think of a thousand tiny
infinitely-fleeting things,
and wonder what shall still matter
when even my dreams have been dead
   for a million years?!

This writing couldn't be more perfect. It is such damn fine work. Lyrical, haunting, sincere in a way that takes one's breath away!

...But Bruce, surely if there
is an afterlife,
then you'll come back, to know.

Still writing along my lines of thinking.

Much enjoyed!
