I can't hate you because I remember the day that you stole my heart. You took it fast and strong and embedded it into your very-being. You kept it there yet you didn't treat it well. You caused it pain took away it's strength destroyed it shrinking it slowly causing it to fade into a lifeless object. You couldn't protect it or keep it safe, You couldn't enjoy it's warmth and the fact that it came from me. You should have kept hold of it embraced it for all it was worth, yet you shattered it into a thousand pieces and inbetween all of that was me, caught in the crossfire of your art of manipulation. But the years have gone on and faith restores itself. I have come to know that I could never hate you for what you have done for what you made me feel. Because there is still a part of me that lives on in you. The heart that you took is still shattered and crushed into pieces but love is still there, the gift that I gave to you. I forgive you... |

I have been in these shoes.. the toughtest emotion to actually show... is forgiveness "The heart that you took is still shattered and crushed into pieces but love is still there, the gift that I gave to you." "I forgive you..." forgiving is the first step to healing and your shattered heart is now ready to come whole again... love is a gift that many take for granted! I believe that once you have loved someone, no matter what they do there will always be a part of you that loves them...the power of the love may become less but it is always there...when you love again you just love differently because the person you love is different...Well said...I know the feeling well...*Big Hugs* |
