Look at me! Look at me! I am majestic, Awe inspiring, I demand respect… and receive it. A spiritual experience, to those who are believers, a questioning ‘what if’ to those more agnostic of thought and mind set. I am a challenge to all, I encourage the weak To be strong, and to the coward I place the opportunity to be brave. For those of command and courage who do not need such challenges I am but a proving ground for their strengths, a way to test their theory and mettle…their worth. I am all over the world, I am weathered and old over many more than years than is humanly possible to count or even fathom. My face is ever changing by much time and the elements of nature. I am conspicuous By my size, as I appear to be forever reaching upwards towards the higher plains. I am snow covered and snow-capped, with glacial waters that trickle down the worn paths of my very bowels. They oft-times come to rest within a tarn, a bowl of size, a natural lake formed in the bedrock basin of one of my many cirques. For those , unknowing of a cirque, it is but a steep- walled hollow that seemingly circles protectively around the beauty of the tarn. I come dressed in the greenery of many trees and much underbrush. Small flowers bud and bloom within my cracks and crevices. I am a safe haven for nesting birds and those endangered animals whose lives have been encroached upon. I have housed ancient tribes beneath overhanging rocks and within caves of many sizes. I am barren and dry with waterlines, erosion and rock formation visible to all who would see… a teaching tool for those who would understand my existence and my growth through time. I am ugly - I am beautiful, I am life - I am death, I am good - I am evil. I am a cemetery of unmarked graves to those…who sadly and unknowingly came ill-prepared or without knowledge and aforethought of my supremacy, unaware of my extreme power. I am singular to everyone, and to what they would wish to see within me. Look at me! I am majestic. Awe inspiring, I demand respect ...and receive it. A spiritual experience, to those who are believers, a questioning ‘what if’ to those more agnostic of thought and mind set… I am the mountain. |

very good, very good. everyday I look at you. you are my favorite being. When the the moody sea is playing her trick, I can always lay in your arm and have a good dream I love mountain. I love mountain. I have tried to write some thing about mountain but it just too much for a few verse to hold. your is good with strong spirit. |
