Repost:

Rest Awhile

From hence and whence I rest awhile
In fields of green of secret file
And stare at different hues of blue
To fantasize some phantom view

Except with shovels of a wile
I cannot move the jumbles pile
And this I do infrequently
Without the aid of wine you see

I close my eyes a moment’s bliss
Within that time I steal a kiss
Disregard past agony
And exercise my vanity

I touch the edge of fantasy
With lovely wiles of ecstasy
And be a moment’s butterfly
Just winging through a golden sky

For this is what I truly need
A tourniquet for human bleed

Wonderful, dear Seymour, your flights on wings of butterfly are truly able to take away all the heaviness from existence.

An excursion into fantasy is indeed what we need every now and then.

Exquisite poem! One to come back to, when the sun is hiding from our view.

Love and hugs.

S1. you saw, stared, and day-dreamed

s2. You wanted to move a big pile and you could't wait to take a drink.

S3. You steal a kiss and exercise more!

S4. Touched (?) to get the ecstasy and wanted to fly high.

last,  you asked for a yearly check up ahead of time.

Sir, if those are called a rest, you'd better get going. The rest would exhauste you!!!!

I love to read this one. it is beautiful

enjoy a wonderful day, Sir Tabin.

I am especially fond of the ending!:

"I touch the edge of fantasy
With lovely wiles of ecstasy
And be a moment’s butterfly
Just winging through a golden sky

For this is what I truly need
A tourniquet for human bleed"

Applause!!
