I have a lot of memories That I will keep with me From this family trip To a Georgia State Park It was the first family trip That I ever been on With my 3 year old niece Which made it extra fun for me We went around the lake On this most beautiful trail And as we walked it We picked up leaves of yellow Orangish yellow, and bright red We also went to Cloudland Canyon It was a most beautiful sight From the overlook alone You could see 2 gorgeous, cascading waterfalls Not to mention you could see for miles We also went to Ruby Falls in Tennessee it was the first time My 3 year old niece had ever been At first I thought she would not like being in a cavern But by the time we headed back up she was saying can we go again That night when we got back We started a fire in the fireplace And started roasting marshmellows to make S'mores The funny thing is my niece didn't like the S'mores Which was a great big shocker to us What would a trip be Without a little cookout The night before we leave Oh the hamburgers and hotdogs They tasted mighty good This family trip to Georgia Was full of a lot of memories And I was happy most of all To spend it with my family Poetry is beauty in words. |
