"Phone is beeping Oven is smoking Door bell rings" ~ Been there! "Wind is blowing Petals are dropping I close the door" ~ Such a sad and lonely closing to a "spring evening". Giving you a warm hug, EA |

Thank you all. It is very strange for me to write some self-pity poems when I feel perfectly fine. It never happened to me before. tell me why? |

What you're calling 'self-pity' is what I call being able to put into words what others feel but can't verbalize. You don't have to personally "feel" all the feelings another feels to be empathic; but you do have to be able to put it into words that others CAN feel. Which you did well here. You painted in words what another might have painted in oils. "Empathy (from the Greek åìðÜèåéá, "to make suffer") is commonly defined as one's ability to recognize, perceive and directly experientially feel the emotion of another." Jimmy |
