To Be Butterfly Time is fragile, Rife with possibility I have grown and changed Shedding layer after layer The past falls away, in damp humility Each cycle, a cocoon grew small To a spirit of songs My love belongs to your heart Dipped in nectar I write These are my love letters For you tonight I want not for vintage grape Nor to be the enchanted apple Wanting not to do over, or remake This destiny is my birthright To be woman, warm and strong Little shields me, as in the wind I long Warm and supple the unfurl of veil You as the sky lay down above me Come, if only you can really love me And stay, greater the together of today That I open my most northern points to the sun Springtime more than I have ever done To dip a wing in write, as if my lips upon your belly light Though fragile promises are broken to be free And bring the best of all that has profound integrity As I am less and so much more upon your wind In fragrant future, sent my kiss, exempt rescind Copyright Kkh 1/13/07 |

Wow Kathleen this poem is going into my archieve. I wish I had a women that writ letters to my heart as this. Love can surely fly within your sky with a heart of this. Well done! Tels mots qui viennent d'un coeur pur ! ! Each cycle, a cocoon grew small To a spirit of songs My love belongs to your heart Dipped in nectar I write These are my love letters For you tonight |

Oh, don't be a butterfly! Butterflies come and they're beautiful.....but when the nectar's gone, they flit on to the next blossom. Come and stay. I don't know a metaphor for that. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

"As I am less and so much more upon your wind In fragrant future, sent my kiss, exempt rescind" This is gorgeous. So much to give, and so much to not deny. JL Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: |

An unusual format in stanza construction, but why not. Love the poem, thank you. |
