Once again the story lies inbetween the lines and more-- the spaces of the alphabet counted as the measuring as my pen spouts his rampage in yod's lingered apostrophe where a comma ought to be-- it changes me and everything I sought to cure by discipline-- as if that were a plan. Centrifugal as force becomes that agitator of the now stagnation concentration feigned a row of squiggles weary brow my eye upon the crows and death bled into my rows with stealth in spite of all my artlessness I simply could not hold my end. And that is how I did design the middle as beginning in the center of the labyrinth and how a sword becomes a pen It were a life of doodling in the margins of the page bolts of lightning summon rage by the mighty hand of Thor as I dreamed medieval mists clinging to these clumps of dust ravaging the endeavor of a plan I never rushed had never drawn on parchment nor scratched into the papyrus-- I just followed whim of foot and growled low rumble grumble lust. But-- Fear birthed me the nihilist intrigue of the fire's warmth playing metallurgist I gave little thought to sparks that spawn a hunger yearning rage of blaze contingent on the trinity of the double edge of broad sword in oath duplicity acknowledement of both if just to make a point simplistically a middle path of sanity where focus was a lack of thought a mere shrug of "what ought to be" mesmerizing temperament of black to blue to silver hues rent beneath my hammering with ne'er a thought of artistry. I set the sword aside to cool reflecting on the ember glow of fire melting snow to steam watching waters gathering first into the patternless pool of tendril's yearning stream burgeoning to rivulets just as thoughts become a dream building forceful powers that became potential in the soil aching to become some thing musings transform into goals as sure the philosopher learns to pray and as the sage he turns his slate to gold Finality at dawn I see the sun rise on the ocean throne waves as laughter of the wise as whispered secrets unto me-- latherings of laying spun tumbling upon the beach as tiny rocks of clarity glittered where before was none-- countlessness abundances-- oh so many out of one. I clasped the sword that I had wrought with naught but mere meandering of thought I had allowed to be come, as pleasing thoughts should be free of measurement and troth as treasures true shall always be: a child born of two edges sworn by the night and by the morn with one foot upon the land the other cleansed by purity of the ocean and of sand as I stood there inbetween and raised the point that I had made to laud the sun to praise night's dream -- "Holy, Holy, Holy" hummed the Earth to Sky through me to Sea. |

Thank you all for reading this lengthy and rather complicated introduction to a Gnostic practice I was recently introduced to called "Book of Hours". It involves setting aside 8 portions of the day (or offices) for various prayer and meditative practices. There is no script to follow--you must write your own--and daily. But since the sun is coming up here, I thought it an appropriate time to say "thank you"--and smile--I'll be around. (The meds wore off and I figured out that I wasn't feeling as well as I thought. Better now though, so much gratitude for prayers and well wishes--as well as for reading.) And now--where did I put those shoes? *winks* to Enchantress |

"as I stood there inbetween and raised the point that I had made" Reading you is like hearing "whispered secrets," although they are not always whispered. Wow! always seeking joy, adventure and romance and wishing you find the same |

if just to make a point simplistically a middle path of sanity where focus was a lack of thought a mere shrug of "what ought to be" mesmerizing temperament of black to blue to silver hues rent beneath my hammering with ne'er a thought of artistry. I am in awe of you as a writer, an artist, one who brings forth such power and sets it down before us with an extraordinary elegance. I just sit here and stare at your words, speechless.............. then realize that I'm in awe of you - as a person. How I wish my mind worked as yours does! This piece - if you don't mind - is staying in my private-private library (the one I keep on a CD - with my crap on it) but you get your own folder labeled "Genius". ![]() Glad to know you are feeling better - I hope you continue on getting better each hour ~~ {{{Hugs}}} Caroline |
