.

Hey old man,
glad you came . . .
It’s been awhile.

Yes,
my wife is proud of her figure,
her looks,
which
is an affluence
she was born with.

Still
into your Chekhov?

Oh, she likes to read
the lighter things:

easy romances
and glamour magazines.
She doesn’t care
for unhappy endings.

My music
makes her sleepy.

She’s the kind of woman
you marry
after the woman you love
has left the world.

She’ll do.

Another drink?

Oh no,
of course not,  . . .

I was simply tired
of being cold.

This is quite an interesting piece John. Makes me feel sad in a way.
