. Hey old man, glad you came . . . It’s been awhile. Yes, my wife is proud of her figure, her looks, which is an affluence she was born with. Still into your Chekhov? Oh, she likes to read the lighter things: easy romances and glamour magazines. She doesn’t care for unhappy endings. My music makes her sleepy. She’s the kind of woman you marry after the woman you love has left the world. She’ll do. Another drink? Oh no, of course not, . . . I was simply tired of being cold. . |
