Color shows promise
Purple fortitude and faith
Crocus in the snow

*

The well chain is warm
Ice is gone from the pulley
Life is easier

*

Warm and gentle wind
Brings a surprise to my wife
A wasp in her hair

*

Icy beard tonight
The cold bites the mosquito
That bit me today

*

In giving no thought
To a world in great turmoil
The daffodils bloom

*
