The shadow of my hope is fading, And I have grown to realize My life is masterful pretending, My truth means nothing more than lies. The night from Saturday to Friday Is neither 'never' nor the past; I've turned back time, for it is my way To let the sorrow go at last. But this relief brings pain, much stronger, It's just a mirror of my fear To lose what's dead, it's mine no longer, To think of what it hurts to hear. |

Dear Beautiful... this is a very sad song, but so strong when read out loud as I did. And it resonates, quietly... and thumps one's soul. Well done. |
