Snowflakes on concrete

Snowflakes on concrete,
White doilies lick hard gray street-
Taste the grit and die.

Dingy sky dandruff
Almost reaches brown bare sand,
Speckles corner trash.

Dry-weed-stalk-caught bags
Gather under snaggle trees,
Dance in frigid breeze.

Baby dances too
Drips sunshine from chubby hands.
Spring blooms in blue eyes.

The world through the eyes of a baby is a beautiful place indeed!

Rub it in. It's supposed to be 70 today. When Spring gets here, it gets here fast. (and then it goes away, and then it comes back, and then it goes away...)
