Apple Blossom Time As the icy cold of winter gives way to days of spring The trees begin to blossom and the birds all start to sing And so begins a very lovely special time of year When nature sings the sweetest song that you will ever hear Out among the apple trees as the buds begin to bloom The fragrance of the orchard fills the air with sweet perfume I listen to the soft and gentle buzzing of the bees As they dart from flower to flower in the branches of the trees As the sun peeks through the tree tops on a warm and sunny day I’ll find a cool and shady spot where I can go and lay And daydream to my hearts content throughout the day so long While listening to a chorus of the apple blossom song As the fragrance of the blossom petals softly fill the air The chances are you’ll find me dreaming lazily out there Somewhere in the apple orchard feeling quite sublime In the coolness of the evening at apple blossom time |

Your poetry requires deep analysis to see why it flows so perfectly that you want to read it aloud and let your mouth and tongue play with the words. I have a theory that whatever you said in this perfect rhythmical way would still be amazing. Though your poetry I have seen in this style perfectly matches the rhythm. You join the masters, like Kipling in his 'Female of the Species', in carrying the reader along... Ivor |
