Dusk settles in, bruising the sky purple
"sunset and evening star, and one clear call for me"
I do not fear the unknown, what is beyond there
beckons to me, dark and capricious it may be
and winds may howl in shifting gusts like a frightening lover.
It's not so hard to pack up my life
just follow the flock of swallows to their nesting place
when I shall have reached the solstice of my life.

[Using the lines from CROSSING THE BAR – by Alfred Lord Tennyson to inspire this poem
“Sunset and evening star, and one clear call for me”]

So beautiful, dear Josefina! I love how you trust what will come one day whether we want it or not. It's a serene attitude.

Love,
Margherita

Thanks Margherita.Yes, looking up at swallows when they migrate from winter, seems fascinating, makes me wonder what if we just take a ride along with them when it's time to go to  a final resting place.
