a baby crawled out of a nautilus shell
then turned into a toddler;
now grown into a young girl
she clings to her mother delightedly
bonding them into a cocoon,
as light filters through in shafts of multi colors
painting innocence in her face
exuberance glinting in her eyes
while her mother holds them both
in warm embrace.

the moment feels like time has stopped
becomes a magical illusion.
this is their private world, reality
a stranger holding off an uncertain future.

This is delightful, dear Josefina. A refined vision of magic and safety in the warmth of motherly embrace.

Love,

i think the love most parents have for their children hold images, love-locked in memories immune to the passing of time
