mountains rise and valleys fall paths wind through as serpents crawl paths of nature are paths of man,and wonder do I, of natures, plan.I look, and listen, search, and call, and seek the path made for us all.So many the paths on this blue-green ball. Novus_os: I like the feeling of your poem and the questing for the right path in life. Something we all do! Also wanted to welcome you to the site! hope you enjoy! Betty Lou Betty Lou Hebert |

Enjoyed reading this, a lot of truth here. It is funny (a little) how the Earth looks so blue and green from outer space, yet much of what comes to my mind while reading this poem are images of stark desert pathways seen from the air, as thin off-white lines among the brownish, often mountain-rugged surround. |

Oh, I hadn't read the other topic about how this is a reworked version. Well, it's good. Upon re-reading, I realize that watercourses are more like what you are referring to and evoking here. Now, how the sun can reflect from them as seen from the air, too! |

Well easy1 I like the second interpretation too, but your first take on this poem was much like what I was thinking about when I wrote this, the mountain rugged paths. I was kind of trying to pull back to a larger view (as if from space) with my reference to "blue-green ball". It's nice that you were able to get something a little different invoked by what I wrote, but that's part of what is interesting about poetry. Thanks for your feedback! |

How true. And come to think on't the power line cuts, old logging roads, and gravel/dirt ways up to fire observation towers are rather stark among the natural mountain scenery, too. It's just that I haven't been back there in awhile now. |
