The Summer Sea When nights are short and days are long And summer sings her siren song, It's then I want to go away To where the breakers send their spray In misty clouds, that leave their trace Of moisture, on the cliff's dark face. When nights are warm and days are hot, I think about the beach a lot! About the tides that race and turn And how the surf can boil and churn. Of how the sea birds drift and fly Across a blue and flawless sky. About the shore, where we can walk To watch the seagulls as they stalk, In search of tasty morsels they Can squabble over, every day. It is a place I long to be. A sojourn by the summer sea! Dear Joyce: Thanks for commenting. Ron is having some problems. I have been having trouble getting one of his medications and a substitute was suggested, which caused him to have a grand mal seizure. It has been an anxious week for us. Backon the original meds. but having trouble finding them. I have several people working on it for me though, so hope things get better. love Betty Lou Betty Lou Hebert |
