(It's been a while since I've posted on here. I've been taking a poetry class this past semester and it has helped me break down a bit of my writer's block. This is a poem that came out of my poetry journal.) --------------------------------------------------- Sister The phone howled out of tune over powering everyone's slumber. He scattered your bloody bat wings across the cave of your life. Your rotting eyes, swollen and black, hair a pile of dead flowers, a face indeterminable of expression. A dingy dog shot from my thrat howling at all who would listen threatening his life with wooden retribution but, I was nothing; only a bloody razor lying on cracked countertop. nice use of muffin |
