At the stage of my life when I should be content with lap robe and rocking chair, I found myself in a world of words and new friends waiting there. Marge, one of the first to welcome me as I approached the door, Guided me through mysterious maize gf lyric and metaphor. She took my timidity turned it around and gave it dramatic flair. The more she gave, the more she had of friendship and love to share. When I was wending my way through grief too much for one self to bear, I reached out in pain and found the heart of my dear friend waiting there. With prayer and unending love we came to our beautiful Marge in need, and offered the fruits of the harvests sown with her precious, unselfish seed. In the New Year of 2009 she left to live with the Angel throng. On a few pages past you'll find our Marge with her beautiful words and song. Joyce (I have reworked a poem I wrote when Marge was so ill and updated it to remember her.She died in January of this year and I know I am not the only one who is still missing her.) |

Joyce, When I think of Marge, I think of flowers (and her grandchildren, of course). But then I remember her ferocity when the site was discoverd with our stolen poems. The woman became a tiger as she set out to make things right. I was angry at the individual who took the poetry from here, but I also had to laugh - that poor person had not considered the danger of robbing from Marge - or from robbing from her friends. She showed how deep her love and loyalty went. Frankly, I was amazed. Then I started dabbling in the poetry workshop. I would post my efforts and, low and behold, Marge noticed. She emailed me and before I knew it - we had lessons again. She participated when she could with humor, creativity and friendship. I owe Marge for her attention to my desire to learn. Marge made a huge impact upon me - and I am delighted each time I see a poem remembering her - and sharing just a piece more of her with the rest of us. Thank you, Joyce. Love, Alison |

Thanks everyone. I wish I could have met her in person. In fact we had a conversation going just about the time of the start of her illness about a meeting of some of her poet friends. That would have been happening this summer or fall and I was seriously thinking I would like to go. Our meeting has been indefinitely postponed. But it will happen. Betty (Trillium) is my carry over friend from another forum. She found this and encouraged me to try it. I have never turned back. Love Joyce |

Beautiful memories of our dear dear Marge, dear Joyce! I love her and everything that reminds me of her. I have her book "Out of the whispering winds" which is really awesome. She was kind and so very generous in helping out ... she would post the pictures of my grandsons on my poems, as I had no internet link to them. Her grandiegirlies Delaney and Landry have so many poems dedicated to them by her. They might want to publish them, that would be a nice way to honor her memory too. I call her the moonlady, as she almost never missed a full moon to post wonderfully creative poems and pictures. She also was a passionate photographer. Thank you. That's a pity that the meeting couldn't take place down here ... someday, somewhere, we shall meet again, yes. Love and hugs. Margherita ![]() |

Dear Joyce: Thanks for this very fitting poem about Marge. She was a wonderful friend to me and also to my son Ron. She was so thoughtful with him and sent him so many little rememberances. He treasures every one and we miss her so much! She died on my husband Will's birthday and of course I lost him last September. They were e-mail friends, as so many of us were and I like to think of them laughing and sharing fun times in Heaven! I found some of her poetry when I was looking through the archives and I just felt so bad that she was missing here. She wrote right up to the very end of her life. Thanks everyone for commenting. Love, joyce |
