Dusty Corner

Each day I enter sadly
To find no one about.
There are cobwebs in our Corner.
I try to brush them out.

This Corner once was lively
With friends who waved so gaily.
And there were always one or two
With whom I chatted daily.

Someone has pulled the shades down.
I lift them up again.
It will be more inviting if
We let some sunshine in.

Tomorrow is another day,
I'll come this way once more
And hope to find friends waiting when
I open up the door.
