A Writer's Season

Beside the fire, safe and warm,
I look out at a winter storm
And think how nice it is to be
Staying in, so cozily.
When springtime comes, the pleasant days
Make me change my lazy ways
And spend more time outdoors to see
The flowers blooming prettily.
Then summer is one long delight
With sun by day and stars by night.
We relish every trip we take
To camp beside a mountain lake.
When fall appears, I soon recall
I like this season best of all
And so I write a poem or two,
Admiring these things I view.
So every quarter, there's a reason
It should be a writer's season!

How truly delightful, dear Betty Lou!

You are always inspired in every season.

Right now here it is not very cozy at home, no heating anymore, outside it is warm, but inside it's cold. I think I need to play with my cat to warm up a little ...

Love,
Marhgerita

Marhgerita:

Thanks for reading and I appreciate your nice remarks. It's cold here and still snowing, which is unheard of at this time of year. I have a Siamese cat who sleeps on my feet at night! They'd freeze without him!

Dear Betty Lou

I love your 'seasoned' poetry!  Each season itself comes to life with your verse!
