A Promise Off in the east, a promise lies, Showing in the glowing skies That herald the rising of the sun And tell us night is nearly done. The day that's dawning is pristine. There is no future to be seen Of what this span of time may hold. Will it be dross, will it be gold? But for the moment, I just care About the beauty growing there. Betty Lou Hebert |

And for the glorious moment it is enough. I wish I could re-situate my house so that I could see the rising sun. Love, Joyce |

life has been good to me and it is such a joy just to sense nature...not having to think but being one with nature...that has been my purpose...your poem takes me to the truth of my existence. |

Dear Joyce: We are lucky enough to have our front door facing east, so when I get up at 5;00 a.m. I can get the first effect of the sunrise. It is my favorite time of day. Even when it's snowing and there is no sun visible, which was the case this morning!! Love Betty Lou Betty Lou Hebert |

r v woo: I agree, that there is therapy in nature and letting yourself be absorbed by it. A uniquely satisfying experience. Thank you for reading. Betty Lou Betty Lou Hebert |

Having seen the sunrise over the water in the south pacific I understand exactly what you feel. nicely done dear. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

Beautiful imagery I watch the sun rise each morning as I see my son off on the bus to sxhool. It is the prettiest time of the day. Thanks for sharing sharyn |

Dear Betty Lou There are very few who see nature as you do. Such a shame most people go through life with 'blinkers' on. A beautiful poem of day dawning. Love Elizabeth (Betty Lou) xo |
