There's a Cat in my Attic There's a cat in my attic, oh what shall I do? There's a cat in my attic or maybe it's two. It could be a goblin, but goblins don't mew. I don't want a cat in my attic, would you? I hear it at night when I'm trying to sleep. I'm counting meows instead of some sheep. Just as I get into a slumber so deep I awake to a thump, a jump and a leap. What are they doing? There must be a bunch, And what do they find in my attic for lunch? There's no food up there upon which they can munch. I fear it's a rodent that I hear them crunch. There's a cat in my attic, oh what shall I do? There's a cat in my attic, or maybe a few. I'm pounding the ceiling, I'm calling out shoo!! Would you like a cat in the attic? Or two??? Help!!! Joyce |

Dear Joyce: Do you REALLY have a cat in your attic?? That actually happened to my mother one time. A storm knocked a tree over and it crashed into the end of her house and broke the attic window. Before anything could be done to remove it, a female cat had climbed up the tree and made herself at home in the attic. It's a long story but tuna fish was the answer Love Betty Lou Betty Lou Hebert |

Yes, i truly had a cat in my attic. It was a wild cat that no tuna fish would tempt. The trouble was that my attic door had slipped and I didn't know it. And the cat had sneaked into my garage and then into my attic and I could hear it meowing but didn't know where it was . I finally left everything open and it got out. Joyce |

Your poem made me laugh! Glad it was only a cat, better than a roof rat! |
