I have a sweet fellow Who sleeps under my chin Sleeping so soundly and calmly When I’m resting in my chair He is my little baby I can’t help but love him He my sweet companion He keeps me company at night Under my covers He snuggles so tight When he hears a noise He thinks that is not right He awakes Goes to the end of my bed Sitting there Ears perked high Warning with a woof-woof I’m a big Canine Perhaps a Pit Bull Beware I am here! If the disturbance continues He gets real excited His warning gets more intense With loud convincing barking He lets me know That he’s very concerned We need to investigate When I open my bedroom door He goes on patrol All through the house Looking to see that an intruder Is not hiding somewhere So far its always only been the cats Sometimes I think I should put a sign On my door saying “Enter at your own risk” A piranha is on the loose He will eat you to bits! Like I said I can't help but love him! |
