Sweet Silk, the witch, with needle and thread Is sewing together the goblin’s head. And casting a spell that reaches beneath A heap of blackened spider teeth. With a needle, she is a master, Who can whip thread much faster Then a local tailor she knows. Who disappeared while sewing some clothes. Sweet silk is likely to cascade Into an occasional escapade As there is no better time of year When hints of Halloween are clear. So tune in today, tomorrow and after To roar with glee and gales of laughter As she mocks a ghost and rattles the bones Of a skeleton named “Homely J, Jones.” So now you know what’s going to start Ripping up doldrums and tearing apart The boredom you knew deep in the night When sleep was just the day’s end delight. Shadows will cause ripples of fear. Spells will be whispered at night in your ear. And those spider’s teeth under that spell- Enjoy your day ‘cuz tomorrow, oh well……. |
