Stand by me and take my hand Walk with me, to take the last stand Trust me and believe, Please, listen to me Put your faith in me, right now I promise together we will not go down Stand true, be at my side Face any foes, no hide My friend, To the end What would I do? without you I promise you my friendship, I promise you my aid If you need help I will be there, I will take your pain I will keep your secrets, be there for you during low and high Dry your tears, listen to your hurts, and about you never say a lie Friend, step over the crisscrossed line Ignore the shadows, meet the light To you forever loyal, on me you can depend Just give me a call, doesn’t matter when Defend you with conviction Jump to meet your expectations When ever you need to cry Soothing you, right at your side You are always there for me Time to do the same Looking at you, a friend I see Friends are no game You mean more than you will ever know It would kill me to ever just let go With you I know I am not alone Thanks, for hearing all my moans Without a doubt, if you have trouble, let me help Who dares mess with my friend, they’ll get hell I will fight for you till the end For you are true, a great friend who cares how many miles apart? you are forever in my heart No lie it is true I love You A friend Thru the end Forever we will be Close you and me |

No offense but this seems like a bit of a play off of my poem, 'Lean On Me'. I like it and all, but it seems a bit too influenced. |

it wasnt from ur poem, i wrote about my best friends who are back in the states, and i cant contact rite now cause they are on a school trip, and i wanted to tell them how much i cared, and i was missing them alot, about half of the poem i had written before, that i didnt post. the other half i wrote like two or three days ago i think, with one addition to the the poem and minor editing changing of words last nite. it wasnt put together complete till last nite. ur poem didnt really influence me, it made me all sad though cause i miss everyone back home. |

"Friend, step over the crisscrossed line Ignore the shadows, meet the light To you forever loyal, on me you can depend Just give me a call, doesn’t matter when" That stanza was my favorite! This is definately one of those friendship type poems I always love reading. Nice job! ~Alli~ |
