Cracks open crevices in the wet ground Clouds open as its tears fall down Lightning strikes in its fired glory Storms now storms to come, same story The ground rumbles deep and loud With great shaking, booming sounds Grey to black balls of fluff Filled to the burst, let go Always going, never changing Deep in beauty, safety wanes Waves of water rush up upon the land Bombs go off killing every man Gales vent their fury on those unaware Monstrous waves bestow much fear storm surges belittle the towns tsunamis, harbored ships go down out on the horizon twisters are born Spinning parts of dust, roarin’ our very own people fight meaning to kill for the stupidest reasons such as gods will Storms , of many kinds Not so hard to find Somewhere, such great stores of power Sweeping into the sea, wilting all the flowers Drowning innocents, sinking ships Teens all riled up fighting with fists Hurricanes great and full of death Fastest winds, freezing icy depths. Long years ago Came a new woe Alas a new era born We meet our match, The first storm |
