She doesn’t know your name, and you don’t know hers But you step and ask the new girl to dance a song with you She says yes, she smiles and when you ask her name she says – Guess Tired of staying in the same circle that you revolve in you spin her No one says a word she laughs at your cleverness while you blush She fascinates you- but little do you know you fascinate her You dip her and she looks in your eyes, she’s caught off guard So you laugh and she joins you dancing another dance or two She can tango- you can waltz, she does the swing and you cha cha cha Everyone stands back and watches you as the DJ complies to the crowd Suddenly she’s flying into your arms for the last time and spins perfectly Sad to let go you both stay there hovering between then last dance and silence "Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it |
