You Saved Me From The Hurt

I thought that I deserved
All the pain living in my heart
Until you came along
To save me from the hurt

You took my hand in yours
And led my away that day
I looked back only once
But you turned my head away

Bruised and bloody and tormented
The visions still haunted my mind
Still you stayed beside my bed
When you knew healing would take time

But on the day that I rose
I found that you had gone for good
Left me while I slept that night
Just like you warned you would

Now I return to the place of pain
Where I lived before you arrived
And now they merely nod their heads in fear
Because I was the first to survive

And through the toil I live around
I keep you near my heart
Because I would never have lived on
If you hadn’t saved me from the hurt

~~~Ex: Okay, I know it's a bit confusing. I wrote this about my bestestest friend Byron. I was having the worst time of my life at home, and he sorta told my parents off. He stayed with me at my Uncles place for a month over the summer, and when he left I was strong enough to face my house again. Well, even if you don't get it, he does. And that's all I care about.~~~

that was absolutly amazing and i understood... life with parents can most definitly be tough at least you had the courage to leave i'm still trying... i hope it gets better for you and your lucky to have a friend like that:P this was one of my fav poems by you, going in my library like all your poems
