~You have to imagine the separate lines as being whispered... And the rest are more lyrics than a poem, so the beat may be a bit off unless you hear someone singing it, lol!~

There's no more passionate love
Than that of a young, untried heart,
Who has yet to be jaded or hurt,
An empty canvas, waiting for art.
Devotion that's deep and so rare,
A heat that could burn them both down.
Sweet and innocent, loving and true,
They'll be the hottest talk of the town.

... A perfect young heart is broken...

There is no deeper pain
Than that of a young broken heart.
At no other age does the hurt
Just keep going after it starts.
And twenty long years later,
When they run into their old flames.
Look into each other's eyes
And they're sixteen and hurting again.

... A broken heart starts to heal...

There's no more beautiful sight
Than that of a young healed heart.
It's not completely brand new,
The pain left a deep, jagged scar.
And the scar is like those of old men
Who complain of their pains in the rain.
When they start to think of their love,
Their heart's scars ring with an ache.

... A heart with scars learns to move on...

There is no truer love
Than that of two jaded hearts.
They've been through emotional hell,
Had their separate fits and starts.
But through they've both been hurt,
Maybe time and time again.
They've found a trust, a blossoming love,
And their young hearts are in love again.

When I stopped trying to find the perfect guy, and concentrated on being the perfect girl, the perfect guy found me. <3

Ah i missed reading your poems while i was gone...this one was amazing. It's one of my favorites
