So maybe my eyes don’t sparkle just right, Maybe I am too stubborn, and always put up a fight. Maybe my hair isn’t always in place, Maybe I don’t have a beautiful supermodel’s face. So maybe I spend my time consumed in words, And talk about things no one’s ever heard. Maybe for once you met someone new, But you couldn’t stay, I wasn’t enough for you. You get up on your high horse, mighty and strong, Hiding that your life is so full of everything wrong. So I wasn’t perfect, what makes you think you are? What makes you think it’s ok to leave so many scars? You walked over me, left your prints across my face, My tears blended in with your words of anguish and disgrace. You thought I was yours to control and contort, So you’d shift me around, all you did was distort. Why wasn’t being me ever enough for you? All I got were lies when all I gave was truth. What about me did you not like, what about me was so wrong? Cause I got plenty about you, baby, I have a whole song. After awhile it became very plain to see, That you were never the one meant for me, When every effort, every thing I’d try to do, was proof alone that I wasn’t enough for you. AIM-beatufu1tragidy |

Hiding that your life is so full of (everything) wrong.**delete parentheses So I wasn’t perfect, what makes you think you are? What makes you think it’s ok to leave me scarred? I really liked those two stanzas. I can relate. Sometimes being yourself isn't enough for people. Yah then maybe it means its not worth it. But once you know that, what next? NO one ever says what to do then. Cuz you still have to be around that person. |

You seem to have the knack for making things flow just right (rhyme scheme, length, word choice.). I especially liked this stanza. "You get up on your high horse, mighty and strong, Hiding that your life is so full of everything wrong. So I wasn’t perfect, what makes you think you are? What makes you think it’s ok to leave so many scars?" The messenge you portray in your words is simple, yet beautiful. My favorite poem of yours so far. |

I read this like a while back and I thought that I commented but I guess not.. this was wonderful.. one of your best. I love the way you write and this had so much I could relate to.. Great job.. Heather Desire nothing except desirelessness. Hope for nothing except to rise above all hopes. |
