standing in the shadows
in the distance up ahead
lost inside the memories
and every word that you said

what is it with you
why must you tear me down
why have you sunk so low
and chose not to make a sound

now if i bought you an ocean
you would let me drown in the tide
maybe it will turn crimson
with all the hate i have inside

and it hurts so bad
to see the end
with these bitter words
spelled out in the sand

with a look of distaste
caught up in your eyes
i fail to see the beauty
in this fading twilight

so lets keep this quiet
keep it deep in silence
swallow these words
and stop this violence

and if i bought you an ocean
i would drown in the tides
maybe it will turn crimson
with all the hate i hate inside
